A performance exploring temporality and legacy. What if you could attend your own funeral? What would people remember about your life? Would it be somber, a wake or joyful celebration? How would you want to be commemorated? The performance is a birthday present to director Jesselito Bie to mark his 50th birthday. Using archival choreography from the company’s 26 year performance history as a point of reference, the performance is framed as a eulogy to choreographer Jesselito Bie. Throughout the performance, audience is guided through rituals of grieving by the dancers and is invited to interact as participant or observer.
